Metallic Wool Engineering

Originally set up for the maintenance of our Steel Wool Manufacturing Plant and Equipment. Metallic Wool Engineering is a Jobbing machine shop with facilities for Turning, Boring, Milling, Drilling, Slotting/Keywaying and other small engineering tasks. Based at our site in Gillingham we provide a service of machining to local companies in the Medway area.

We can set up to machine for a 1 off item to multiple batch items using traditional Centre Lathes, Milling Machines and Drills.

Some of our work has included:-

Machining of Motor Shaft Extensions, Brass Pump Rotor centres, Pump Parts, Shafts, Mild Steel Mixer Shafts, Mixer Impellers. Machining of Cast Iron Castings, Machining of Flanges and Flanged Couplings, Keywaying Gears and Sprockets, Welding, along with other general machine shop work.
